I have not been on here in a little bit, which I know really bothers my one follower!  Thank you Aunt Karen!  I will be getting some things posted for Christmas in the next couple of days, so stay tuned!

I am so excited, I finally have one follower!  Now I will not feel like I am talking to myself!!
Halloween is over, but fall is in full bloom.  I thought I would share a couple of things I did to decorate for Halloween/fall.  These are some simple, inexpensive ways!

I just tied a black polka dot ribbon around an orange candle I already owned and put a few candy corn around the bottom.

Here I simply filled an apothecary jar with candy corn.  You could also add a ribbon to this.
These jars are really cheap at thrift stores.

Happy November

Hello and Happy November!  Hopefully everyone survived the ghouls and goblins.  I gave out 18 bags full of candy, one piece at a time!  We even had the mounted police going through our neighborhood!  I always love to see the children and how they are dressed!

I will be posting some more free clipart for the month of November, so watch for that.

Work Tomorrow

I am working all next week with the same little boy that I worked with last week.
He is a 5 year old kindergartner with no arms and no legs.  He is a super kid and is amazingly independent!  I am amazed every day by this child!  He has such a great disposition and attitude.  He is so fun to work with.  There are seven kindergarten boys in the class!
I did some scrapbook pages this weekend and will try and get them posted tomorrow!

Work today!

I am working today, I am a substitute paraeducator for a public school system.

I work with children with special needs.  Today I will be working with a child

with no limbs.  While this will be a challenge, I am looking forward to it.

I am trying to get a full time job working as a paraeducator, but it is not easy with

all the cuts in the school system!

I did end up getting out on Thursday with my mom.  We went to Red Robin for lunch and then on to Michaels and Hobby Lobby.  I did buy a few new things.  I bought a new Martha Stewart punch, it looks like a vine.  I still need to try it out.  Will try to post some new pictures of layouts tonight.

I am heading out with my mom today to do some shopping at Michaels and Hobby Lobby.
There are some awesome online sites where you can printout coupons for these stores!

Today is the first Anniversary of the death of my best friend, Terri.  We had been best friends for 17 years!  She died when the motorcycle she was a passenger on, was hit by a car driven by a 16 year old girl.  It was after 11 pm. and the girl and two friends were on their way home from their high school homecoming.

I have never done a blog before and therefore am a Newbie!  I wanted a place where I could share some of my life's experiences, things that help me get through the tough times, and things that make me smile.  This blog will contain my scrapbooking layouts, handmade cards, poems I love, clipart, photos and whatever else makes me smile and will hopefully make you smile too.
